A Time for Comfort, Memory, and Hope
A funeral or memorial service at Pilgrim Church is designed to do three things:
- Acknowledge grief and offer comfort through words of assurance and prayer.
- Celebrate life by sharing stories and memories of the one who has passed.
- Proclaim hope — that in Jesus Christ, all things are made new, and death becomes a doorway to eternal life.
A Celebration of Life and Faith
In the tradition of the United Church of Christ, we view funerals and memorial services as both a celebration of life and a celebration of faith. Our Pastor provides private pastoral care and helps design a meaningful service that reflects your loved one’s life, values, and beliefs.
Ongoing pastoral support is available to members through our Pastor and Visitation Team, and is extended to non-members whenever possible. We strive to serve each family with sensitivity, compassion, and grace.
Planning a Memorial or Celebration of Life
For Christians, death is not an ending but a transition into new life. Our Pastor will work closely with you to balance grief and gratitude, helping you honor your loved one while finding comfort in faith and community.
