Bible Study with Tom Ritschard-Sell

Bible Study with Tom Ritschard-Sell

Every Thursday morning at 10 in the Church Library

We will be looking at the Bible with guidance from the book by Edward G.
Simmons Talking Back to the Bible: A Historian’s Approach To Bible Study. Some of the chapters include interesting topics entitled: What the Bible Says; Why Jesus Was Not a Christian; Was Jesus the  Samaritan?; Who is the Neighbor?; What to Give Caesar; and even more interesting teases like, Did Jesus Use the Bathroom?

Our consultant is the Rev. Tom Ritschard-Sell, a new member of Pilgrim Church [yes, he is Marcia’s husband]. Tom has pastored churches for thirty-five years in Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Michigan, as well as being a chaplain in the U. S. Army reserve and active duty.

Retirement brought him to Duxbury to be closer to family. He currently is Chaplain with the American Legion Post No. 223 in Duxbury. He received his formal seminary training at Lancaster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania. His standing with the UCC is held by Pilgrim Association of Massachusetts Conference. Contact Tom at for more information or If you have any questions.
