Baptisms

Baptisms at Pilgrim Church of Duxbury, UCC

At Pilgrim Church of Duxbury (United Church of Christ), we celebrate baptism as one of two sacred sacraments in the Protestant tradition — along with Holy Communion. Baptism marks a profound milestone on the journey of faith, symbolizing God’s unconditional love, grace, and acceptance for all people.

A Celebration of Faith and Belonging

We joyfully offer baptism for infants, children, and adults. In baptism, we welcome individuals into the Christian community and affirm their identity as beloved children of God. For infants and young children, parents and sponsors make sacred promises to nurture their child’s spiritual growth through prayer, worship, and service within the faith community.

Baptism During Worship

Baptisms at Pilgrim Church are typically celebrated during our Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. This allows the congregation to join in welcoming and supporting each newly baptized person as part of our church family.

Planning Your Baptism

To begin the baptism process, please contact our church office to speak with our Pastor. Together, we’ll arrange a time to discuss the meaning of baptism, review our Baptismal Policy, and plan your special service.
