Pilgrim Church Festival of Trees 2022

Help us light up the lawn!

Join us in creating a unique, joyous, and safe holiday experience for your family this Christmas season!

The Pilgrim Church Festival of Trees is an opportunity for church families and community organizations to make the season a little brighter for all.

There will be no admission fee but monetary donations or offerings of non-perishable food items will be collected to support Interfaith Social Services.

Here's How We're Going to Do It

The church lawn will be divided into parcels and assigned numbers. Church families and local organizations are encouraged to sign up to provide a decorated tree (artificial or real) to be displayed from Dec. 17th through the 25th.

Each evening between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. the trees will be lit up for the public to enjoy along with Christmas music to add enchantment to the overall experience. Musical entertainment will be offered on opening night Saturday December 17th and Wednesday December 22nd.

Many hands make light work and lots of fun. We hope you’ll consider volunteering for this event in some way:

  • Reach out to the community to find organizations that would like to host a tree – connect with other churches, police department, fire department, senior center, businesses, florists or garden centers, day cares and preschools, scouts, and members of our own church family.
  • Volunteer to measure out parcels for the trees, mark walkways and create festive walkway barriers to assure safety while touring the tree display.
  • Organize a collection of necessary supplies to borrow from friends – outdoor extension cords, power surge outlets, speakers for music, generator, etc.
  • Be in charge of logistics to determine and run the electrical needs to each location.
  • Help coordinate entertainment for Saturday December 18th and Wednesday December 22nd.
  • Sign up to be on site for one or more of the evenings to turn the lights and music on and off, serve refreshments or provide prepackage bake goods.
  • Be an onsite coordinator/welcome ambassador on Friday December 17th and Saturday December 18th to help with setting up the trees.
  • Create advertisements of the event and share with local publications and on social media
  • Join our committee and help make this a joyous holiday event
